In family file at patient status - would be nice to have one maybe "INS" or something to state they are the insurance holder - for those that may have a member on the file that is not a patient of record but we have to add because they carry the INS

They would still be a "Non-patient" in the dropdown. And anyone that is an insurance guarantor has INS to the left of their name in the Family File.
In our office, we mark them as a "non-patient," then make their first name just the initial and the preferred name the full name.
We just write the subscriber's name in all caps in cases like this
