Dentrix needs four options for updating insurance: 1) create a new plan, 2) update for this patient only, 3) update for all family members, and 4) update for all patients in the practice attached to this plan. Currently, there are only two options: 1) create a new plan and 2) update for all patients in the practice attached to this plan. Having only these two options creates the following problems: 1) the creation of duplicate plans and 2) updating insurance for the wrong patients. Please add the extra options to help improve the software and to keep practices from making costly mistakes.
