Instead of scanning documents directly into a patient or provider's doc center file, there should be a feature that you can scan documents into a general folder of the doc center. Then you can go in later to assign those documents to specific patient files. This is useful because it allows quick and easy scanning of documents without having to select the individual patient right away.
