I asked dentrix and from their understanding there is no report to be able to print from your system to keep track of "Created" claims that have not been sent to insurance. The representative suggested I send in an idea for you to see if this feature is possible. This feature would help with our office due to the large size keep track of claims that have either not been sent to insurance or that needs to get followed up on.
Thank you for the recommendation, we are always looking for ways to improve the product. we will consider this for a potential future release.
This is a great idea and part of a general problem of what claims were created but not sent and / or are perhaps hung up in Dentrix. It's a pickle chasing down all the single patient claims. It's my expectation that once this software for eclaims is a certain age, it should be fairly predictable. That's not happening yet. We should have little or no processing time once claims are created or sent. Yes. You'll say but what about data entry errors? Fine. But electronic processing errors shouldn't exist. Too high of a bar? Then charge less so we can afford to spend hours chasing claims.
I run 2 reports: Insurance Claims to Process and Insurance Aging Report
Insurance Claims to Process will show claims created but not sent. However, I have found Batched Claims aren't guaranteed to show up so I also run the Insurance Aging Report.
Both are found in the Office Manager. Click Reports and then hover over Ledger then then run both reports from that drop down.
