I spoke to Calvin from Dentrix support regarding leaving a note in an unscheduled appointment from the unscheduled appointment list. He mentioned to me that it is not possible to leave a note unless I choose “Wait/Will Call” or “Break” the appointment. However, I don’t want to change the Type of an appointment from “Broken” to “Wait/Will Call” as I am more likely to call a patient that has a “Broken” Type rather than a “Wait/Will Call” Type of unscheduled appointment. Therefore I am strongly suggesting to make the option available for a note to be left in an unscheduled appointment so that whom ever of my colleagues works on the unscheduled list is able to see that the patient has already been called and should not be called again. Because when a patient is called multiple times regarding the same thing, there is the likelihood of the patient getting upset and leaving the practice to become a patient at another office.
