Dentrix must have a spot to mark if the patient signed the acknowledgement and the date that they did. Dentrix then needs a tracking system for this - either a symbol on an appt that it needed or a report you can pull that shows who needs to sign a Hipaa for the day. Additionally, it should put patients who turn 18 on the list of needing a Hipaa without manually having to go and open each patient and look. That is a waste of valuable time when we have technology that can do this for us and it eliminates missed Hipaa's. Eaglesoft has long since had a way track who has signed their Hipaa form and what date and then it can show you daily who needs to sign it . Eaglesoft shows an H on the appt if the patient needs a Hippa signed. This is a crucial software enhancement.
