When you break an appointment on the schedule it should have an option for you to bake a procedure, or acct note from there. Rather than making the acct procedure for a broken appt. Then breaking the appt off the schedule makes the two step process hard.

I agree!! When an appointment is missed and we break the appt, the pts ledger should automatically have the D9986 (missed appt) added. It doesn't make sense Dentrix will auto update the "Missed Appt" date and counter in their pt file, but not add the code. I guess some offices dont want to charge for the missed appt fee every cancellation, but at that point they should manually adjust that.
