Imagine you open 30 google chrome tabs a day but you only REALLY need to see 10 of them, So to resolve this, you open a different google chrome instance and open your 10 and on the other tab you have the 20 you don't need currently but may need later. The same thing could be used with the appointment book for big companies that have many different sites but only need to see 10 at a time. This would be separate from views because the views are workstation specific and not able to be pushed out from the server.
