Per CMS, a specific diagnosis is now required on every controlled substance Rx that is sent or brought to a pharmacy. Because of this CMS mandate, in order to avoid fulfillment delays for your patients (and interruptions to your workday), starting on June 30th every controlled substance Rx will now require an ICD-10 based diagnosis association."
