Similar to how a blue note shows on the appointment if there is a note, this would help allow for a visual reminder that a patient is SELF PAY or without insurance so the front office admin team knows to collect a balance (or potentially collect) without having to click into the appointment/patient file. These icons could be used for other things as well. I know Eaglesoft utilizes a similar system and it is well loved by dental offices.
Clinical team members will benefit as well if adding treatment in the chair so they can get a treatment plan coordinator to let patients know any additional costs.
