It would be great, and its already on Eaglesoft and open dental, to be able to put treatment on WAIT. Especially for cosmetic cases, ie. invisalign or veneers. We don't want to REMOVE the treatment from the chart but would classify it to be on hold, or on wait so staff don't bug them over unscheduled treatment.
This is a great idea, another way to consider it would be to have one colour if a patient wants to proceed but wants to hold off for now, typically for financial reasons, and one colour if you have recommended it but they reject treatment. This is very common when you see a cracked tooth and recommend a crown, however the patient denies treatment for financial reasons. If we reject the treatment plan in the planner it disappears from the odontogram. I will then recommend the crown at the next recall again, if I forget that I previously recommended and the patient rejected. It is nice to keep track that it was recommended and rejected as when the tooth does crack and the patient loses the tooth it is nice to have some documenation that this was recommended and they said no, and also I want to know it was previously recommended. When you reject it and it disappears it makes it hard to remember.
