When adding new medications to the database, we like to put the brand name and generic name on the same line, however a lot of medications have very long names and there seems to be a character limit (not a very big one) on how much we can type there. Please allow more characters.
Thank you for posting to Dentrix Ideas! The latest version of Dentrix has extended character limits in these areas. Release details can always be found here https://whatsnew.dentrix.com/
This would be helpful. I also believe there is a glitch when it comes to searching for medications to add them to the patient Health History. If we do enter a drug in the format of the brand name/generic (i.e. Lopressor/Metoprolol), if we either click the add multiple option, or the medication option, the system only recognizes if you start with the beginning term, Lopressor, but will not recognzie Metoprolol as part of an existing entry. However if you click the >> arrows next to medication to pull up the whole list and then type letters, it will recognize if they are anywhere within the entry, i.e if I just type Metoprolol it will put it up. It would be very helpful that the system can pull up these medications that have been entered with two names, or even just any part of the medication is entered, it should list all options that match.
Yes, this needs updated for patient safety purposes. We need at least 50-75 character spaces. I would like to put the generic, brand name, and brief description to help my other team members.
