We collect our estimated patient portion at time of service, but suspend it until the insurance company pays it's portion. The user that collected the amount is recorded, but the user that later applies the credit is not. If there is an error (applying it to the wrong service, or applying too much to a service, and the insurance payment creates an overpayment) in the application of the suspended credit, it is currently impossible to know who and when it was applied incorrectly. For tracking purposes it would be great to know for future training, for example if the same user is making the error over and over again.
