After attempting to create a treatment plan for my patient on the Dentrix treatment planner, I found some missing features that would be helpful.
When using the treatment planner, there is no way to communicate the amount of time needed between visits, and there is no way to communicate the amount of time needed for that visit.
This allow the me to communicate my overall treatment plan with my receptionists so that they can schedule my anticipated amount of time for each visit, as well as the amount of time needed between each appointment. Without these features I find that the receptionists will either need to make an educated guess on how long the procedure will take, or they will repeatedly ask me about each appointment for each patient.
For example, on a 2 visit treatment plan (for simplicity). There is no way to communicate that Visit 1 is going to be a 2 hour appointment. Also. there is no way to communicate that there should be 3 weeks between visit 1 and 2 to allow healing. And to complete the treatment plan, Visit 2 should be 40 minutes.
