Option to include a line for each time a billing statement has been generated for the account, within the ledger, listed with transactions; with an option to view the billing statement from the Ledger, also show journal notes in the ledger.
I FOUND HOW TO DO IT!! Highlight the dates you want to print. Go to the "Print" tab and select "Walk-out" and make sure you change the date to the date you highlighted. I tried it 3 times and it worked! Dentrix should have know this.
It seems that in all these ideas, there is one thing I keep running across: Dentrix isn't fluid and cohesive. Maybe that's impossible in a dental software trying to keep up with the fickleness of insurance companies or them not understanding how frustrating it is to constantly go from one area to another to help a patient. I know they're trying but maybe they need to keep their good parts and go back to the drawing board. Just saying...
I miss having this. With our previous software it would list the date of the last statement. When a patient calls asking about why they received a statement etc when they sent a payment., I could look when the statement was generatedand advise that we received their payment but it was after the statement was sent. (Can just say it must have crossed in the mail) I could also see that insurance made a payment the same day statement was generated but it was entered after statement was sent. It just helped so much in conversations with patients as status of their account.
You can, in G4, copy statements when printing or sending with QuickBill to the Document Center and the Office Journal automatically records the billing date and amount when statements are generated from the Ledger or Office Manager.
In addition to the Office Journal entries for billing statements and the Document Center copies of billing statements, the Ledger displays the "Last Statement Date".
As above, I'd like to eliminate more clicks to get the info, I'd like to see a line in a running ledger that a statement went out, clicking into the journal while having a patient on the phone is very cumbersome, I 'd like to see statement sent, payment received, insurance payments in one view, no clicking around...Thank you
I agree 100%..everyone goes directly to the ledger to view treatment and payments. It would be great to also see how many statements they were sent. There is another software ( i think practiceworks) that actually offers this feature. Its also helpful if someone misses a payment and they are then charged late fees. You can just print the ledger and show them all transactions including how many statements that were sent.
Would love it if when a statement is sent it would automatically make a ledger entry that said a statement was sent. It would eliminate need to toggle between pt journal and ledger to see if a statement was sent before sending collection letters
This is available in EagleSoft and is a huge benefit to all of the staff working the front desk and the staff working insurance or collections. I work with many offices that use Dentrix and this is something that is GREATLY needed and wanted in all of the practices I work with.
Also I know I can look on the office journal to see this info, but when you have hundreds of accounts to go through it adds up. I want to see it as a line item on the ledger instead of having to go to the office journal. I can post a picture of how it looked on our old software if that helps.
I find when looking at alot of the comments for several of the "suggestions" it states Eagle Soft and other software already has them. I cannot believe that Dentrix has not caught up on these.
Please consider having an automatic line item in the ledger for when bills go out. Having them go to the Doc Center is nice, but having it right there in front of your face would be more efficient.
It would be helpful to be able to generate a summary of billing statements sent electronically by date range. At this point, a summary for the month to that point generates when a statement is sent but can't be produced without sending a statement. Also, the summary does not include any details about the statement, such as patient name.
