Add a separate line or checkbox to indicate if insurance coverage is dependent on student status for a dependent.
Completely agree! Unfortunately, the extra work that has be done by the parent/guardian reflects poorly on the dental office. To my knowledge, Dentrix is the only Dental Software that does not have this option readily available.
