Would like to be able to schedule reminders that display. For calls to be made, letters and reports to be printed, and various tasks, and the ability to check them off as they are done (could be added to Office Journal). Specify which provider or staff the alert is for. Also need call reminders in the appointment book. Should have an option to attach a "beep" or "chime" to the reminders to catch their attention. When the reminder pops up, should have options to cancel, remind again in five minutes, remind again in one hour, remind again in one day (for tasks that aren't time-critical and can't be done on busy days), remind again in one week or a specified range (one month, one year,etc.), or print reminder message. When setting up tasks to be reminded of, should be able tospecify whether this is a one-time only task, a daily task, a weekly task, a monthly task, etc.

Please add the ability to run a credit balance report for a specific period of time. Our office merged with another office. The credit balances are 90 pages long. We would like to see only credit balances that occurred the last 18 months.
I vote for a centralized intra-office communication system that also works as a task list reminder with customizable options. I like the office journal and appointment book as resources but it takes a lot to set this up and get it going especially if no one is used to using these features in the office.
There needs to be a system to eliminate the post-it notes in the office. Currently there is no intra-office communication system where the team can give tasks to other team members. This needs to happen for when referral letters come in the mail, narratives that need to be written, phone calls for the doctors, etc.
i would love this - i loved the AbelDent feature called Contact list - all cancelled appointments auto matically were on the contact list 2 weeks later and you can add notes to note when you have attempted to call the patient and then change the date to the next time you want to reach out again - made for daily contact list so much easier - no patients fell through the cracks
I've been listing thing using Events on Appointment Book. This works until i changer the date and lose my Events note. When you change the date on an appointment the Appointment Book changes to view that appointment, this is not so with Events. Also if you forget the date of an appointment and need to find it, there is the Locate Existing Appointment button; however there is no Locate Events button. When you change the Appointment Book view to Week view you see the Events, however not on the Month view you do not see Event, so it can take a while to find it.

The tasks can be pre-set with a date and time and when the reminder is due, it will pop up and appear in the task list. You'd then mark the reminder done to make it disappear until its next due date. Each staff member has their own task list unique to what they need to do. You can even attach a patient to a specific task as a reminder to follow etc.. You can assign task to any staff member and respond to each other on the progress of each task. When a task is associated with a patient, once task is completed it automatically saves in patient journal. THIS WOULD BE SUCH A GAME CHANGER AND UTILIZED IN ALL OFFICES BY ALL STAFF MEMEBERS!
This is a good idea...couldnt you just put it in the pt notes box in family file or even create a flag with the info and tag it to open with the pt chart?
We use the office journal all the time for many tasks however a to do list would be great for things that are not person specific ie patient or team member. Also the office journal can be a little out of site out of mind. It would be nice to have something that is easily noticed by any team member at any work station that there are things on the to do list to be completed through out the day and not just flashed up when you log in early in the morning and are in a hurry to get ready for your day

Please add a priority feature when adding a task for a staff member or doctor to complete, i.e.normal, urgent, asap....
If task is for a specific person, the task list should pop up when person logs in.
Look at Eaglesoft, they have a good one.
The task list should be able to “jump” directly to the patient the task concerns and have the ability to reply to the person generating the task.
Just like Open Dental. I've always wanted this feature.
