We are also very eager to see this feature. Is there an ETA on this request? Thanks

adding a feature to be able email statements directly from the ledger.  Also being able to set up their preference for regular monthly statements.

I completely agree! Prior to the G4 update, we were able to "export" the treament plans as a PDF, but after the update that was lost. That worked great because I could save it to the hard drive and then email it or whatever. So if we could get that back, and do the same for all the other things listed, it would be awesome!

Totally agree!!!! It would save time and papers...that's the entire point of paperless right?

I requested the same thing but specifically for email purposes w/ the ability for online payment as well. Think of the time/money saved by our offices plus the added convenience for our patients.

If we could at least export it as a PDF, then we could manually email it... But it would be better to not have to do that.

This is definitely a needed feature, we would like to be able to email copies of signed questionaires to referring Drs. as well as to patients when the request them.

You may look into a program called PrimoPDF, it is a free program that will act as a printer but instead of printing the document it will save it as a PDF. Now for this to work with statements you would need to change the printer in the office manager each time you wanted to create a PDF.

Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 6 introduced a new preference to save billing statements to the Document Center as a PDF. Learn more in the Dentrix Resource Center, Article #:46431 http://www.dentrix.com/resource-center/default.aspx

Faxing is a possibility, if you are willing to set it up. See the following Microsoft article: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/hwandprograms/printfaxscan.mspx Then set this fax printer as your prescription printer in Office Manager | Maintenance | Practice Setup | Prescriptions Setup

One way to do this is to send a copy to Document Center. First, view the report in a Print Preview. Within the preview, choose File | Print Reports. Here you can select the printer "Print to Dentrix Document Center" Open the patient's Document Center, and Acquire the document from the Unfiled Documents window (drag and drop from Unfiled Docs to the patient, and enter a name and reference date as prompted). Now that an electronic copy is stored in the patient document center, you can use "Send Message" to launch Outlook / Outlook Express / Windows Live Mail, and the document will be attached as a PDF. Or use "Export Document(s)" to save a PDF, and attach that to a web based email.

To continue Steve's thought, now that the statements are automatically going into the Document Center, you can select them within that module and choose "Send Document(s)" to launch your email program with the PDF already attached to a new email, or "Export Document(s)" to designate the filename and location and save the PDF. See this demonstrated in the webinar "Going Paperless" (Article # 49541).

Is there a way to auto attach as described by ryan with web based email services....every year more and more people are giving microsoft outlook the boot for google or google apps for your domain email accounts...

The different web-based emails come with such a variety of interfaces (and the nature of the web is that those interfaces can change without notice) that there really is not a way for Dentrix to automate creating the message.

I agree with this request. I currently use an alternate program (cutepdf-free)to print to PDF, but would like to email/fax directly from dentrix vs printing to file and emailing manually.

I agree with this suggestion. Further if the quick letters could be emailed and or printed I feel that it would be a defintie plus.

This should read "email" a letter with multiple attachments.
