A SEPARATE LINK FOR COVID SCREENING FORM TO ATTACH TO AUTOMATED COMMUNICATIONS!

I'm not a fan of having the portal as the main option for patients to fill out forms. Especially the COVID screen form that is used frequently. Signing up for a portal is a hassle. The COVID form is a hassle to begin with in their eyes and I need a quick way to check who is still needing to complete the task.

I would LOVE a separate link for the COVID form, attachable to automated communications FOR PATIENT ENGAGE. The return would come into questionnaires and just be directed to doc ctr when completed.

In this present time, this is a situation that ALL offices face. We are trying to operate safely. We need to know COVID information 2 DAYS prior to appointment to allow time for follow up/ resetting appointments when there is a concern that should have the patient stay home. Presently Demandforce, Questionairres, Dentrix, combined in the Patient Engage system doesn't permit this extra link. PLEASE EXPEDITE THIS REQUEST SO THAT OFFICES CAN MAINTAIN SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!

    This is how many months later and because we are busy in our offices, we don't have time to vote on this platform. It doesn't mean it's not important or urgent. It is totally frustrating to me as a long time customer of Dentrix since 1995 that important /urgent messages are rolled into this platform to gain popularity votes. You've turned a deft ear and you've created many frustrated offices and their patients.

    I understand the uniqueness and security needs to link a patient in data base with a new form, and all I can say is the process to set up the portal is awful, once inside the portal is confusing. There needs to be greater clarity and ease to get to the forms needed to fill out if the portal is your go to conduit.

    I agree 100%. We just signed up with Patient Engage and right now, one of our main goals is to reduce all the in person communication around the COVID screening.

    We have a COVID screening form already set up in the questionnaire module, but need an automated, efficient way to get that out to patients without having them sign up for the patient portal. They have just received our welcome email and we don’t want to overwhelm them with too many changes.

    I agree that the simplest thing would be to add a link to the automated text and email reminders. I would prefer it to go out with the 5 day reminder and a note to contact us if anything changes between the time they fill out the form and their appointment.

    I also would like to be able to send a link to just the COVID form, without having to sign up for the portal, via text or email as a one-off message.

    On a side note, I’m an avid reader of the Dentrix magazine, Office Manager blog, etc and it seems like there are very few detailed educational pieces on Patient Engage. An on-demand webinar or instructional video would be great, especially since training is booked out so far right now.

    i understand the current options are:

    1. The practice has THREE links:

      1. New Patient Forms - placed on the website or added to the Welcome email for new patients to easily locate and complete their new patient registration forms

        1. THIS MEANS THE EXISTING PATIENT HAS TO SIFT THROUGH THE ENTIRE PACKET TO GET TO THE COVID FORM. TIME WASTER. HASSLE.

      2. Existing Patient Portal - can be placed on the website AND in any of the appointment reminders/confirmations. If the practice's goal is to obtain a COVID screen form 2 days prior to appointments, I would recommend they setup an automated reminder and customize the email to include a link to the patient portal. This will allow the patient to sign up for the portal, review medical history forms and complete the COVID screening form. THIS WOULD BE THE IDEAL METHOD FOR PATIENTS TO COMPLETE COVID SCREENING FORMS AHEAD OF THEIR APPOINTMENT.

        1. SEE MY INITIAL COMMENT

      3. Kiosk - includes the option to have a Kiosk in the office or send patients a mobile check-in link. This would be the backup or last resort method for patients to complete their COVID screening form.

        1. THIS HAPPENS TOO LATE IN THE APPOINTMENT PROCESS. WE NEED THE INFORMATION 2 DAYS AHEAD

        NOTE: The practice could also setup a one-off messaging template that instructs the patient to login to their portal and complete the screening form. This could be sent to an entire days' worth of patients or the practice can select only those patients that have failed to complete the form ahead of time.

        1. THIS IS TIME CONSUMING AND WE NEED AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM.

    There is not currently a way for the practice to send an individual form to a patient, so I would recommend one of the above-mentioned solutions

    PLEASE EXPEDITE THIS LINK REQUEST AND MAKE IT SIMPLER! COVID IS HERE AND WE NEED THIS ASAP.
