Thank you for posting to Dentrix Ideas! Please upgrade to the latest version of Dentrix to enjoy this feature. Release details can always be found at https://whatsnew.dentrix.com/
The new search field in Procedure Codes is a great idea! Now please make it searchable by letters as well as just numerals...for example, I know there's a code for "Adjust Occlusal Guard" somewhere: let me start typing "ADJ" and all those procedures come up for me to choose from.
I run into this scenario weekly, I know the code/description, but I don't know in which category it resides. It is a time-waster that should be easily solved with a simple procedure code/description query.
This is absurd that dentrix doesnt already have this option. I believe all other softwares offer a quick search...even my dental school software had it!
there needs to be a place where you type in a Key word and all the codes with that word pop up. it takes a lot of time to search each category for the correct code.
In the Dentrix system it asks us what we want our short cut to be... it would be GREAT if we could look up the code by our shortcut instead of the ADA code. EX: instead of D2392 we would type in 2surf and it would populate the correct code. This is especially helpful to the front office.
Make a pop up search bar that you can type in the type of procedure that you are doing and dentrix will give you a list of codes that could go with that certain procedure!!! This would be amazing!
This feature is being touted by the ADA as an app that can be downloaded on a smartphone with the purchase of the CDT 2016 version, however, putting on a smartphone is great, it would be better if it was in the software as we use this in our digital ops and it would be great to have as a feature in Dentrix for the Doctor so he doesn't have to stop and go look at the CDT codebook
Fantastic! Thanks for adding this. It will make my life much easier!

yes being able to initiate a search with name (a first letter even) would be awesome
Yes, definitely would be beneficial- highly recommend it is implemented asap. Thank you
