Individual Procedure Colors

Would like to assign colors to individual procedure codes and have it appear in the Ledger and Chart, also be able to attach colors to referral status, so that referral procedures have a different color than regular ones.

You can control many color settings in Ledger | File | Ledger Colors Setup... Are you looking for something more extensive than this?

In response to Ryan Beardall, I'm not sure if this is what the original post was talking about, but at our office we would like different providers to be able to be set up to use different color text when writing clinical notes. Is that possible?

Add the option to add a custom section under color setup in ledger. As of now, there is no option to add a new category under ledger colors setup/ text colors.

As a hygienist I have to search the ledger with patients requiring bitewings. Looking back to check whether FMX or Pano has been taken within last 3 or 5 years is tedious. If we could highlight those two procedures in the ledger that would speed the process.

Be able to assign colors to different procedure codes or transactions. Example: I have an account note I made up to use when I want to put a note in the ledger, or if a statement was sent. It would be nice to assign a color to each of these instead of only black. It would be easier to see if it was another color.

When using multi-codes and posting to a patient's ledger, it would be nice if instead of turning gray (for completed), it would change to a different color until the insurance manager has reviewed charges and submitted to insurance.

I would like the ability to change the color that appears in chart for services that have been referred out. It would make it obvious when quickly viewing chart.

Include check numbers on printed Patient ledger, statement, or walk-outs. It will help patient track payments and for their tax purposes.

It would be nice to have an invalidated procedure highlighted. The asterisk is hardly noticeable.

In regards to the insurance submission, if you use control instead of shift you can choose what procedures you want to send.

being able to change the color per provider, so when it is posted to the ledger you can quickly know the provider who rendered the services.

The ledger should print in color coded to make it easy for patients to distinguish payments paid by them vs adjustments and insurance payments. Right now it only prints in black. Very confusing for the patients. There should be a way to print patient ledger from date to date not only from beginning of date! Lets say, a patient has a cleaning on 1/1/2017, they ask for their ledger transactions for 2016. I can only enter the beginning date of 1/1/2016 but it will not enter a end date of 12/31/2016, so therefore it will include the new service of 1/1/2017. It would be better to have the option of date to date not just beginning of date, ledger should also show check numbers when printed. Also, please edit the insurance submission through the ledger. When clicking on services you can no longer shift and click on individual services. If I only want to submit cleaning and xrays but perio charting was done and is posted in between and are listed in ledger in between the other 2 services, it highlights and makes you submit perio chart also. Hope you can make these changes. Thanks!

Give the option to assign a color to a particular code, so that it's easier to find in the family ledger when searching in the ledger+history and viewing all the family. In the case of having a reinstated balance from a previous bad debt/collection, would make it much easier to locate that procedure code!

The symbol to show a code has been invalidated needs to be more obvious in the ledger. Make it so that invalidated codes have their own color would be great. That little plus sign does not stand out.

A feature which enables us to color code different procedures from routine exams as well as color coding to differentiate new patients

I wish the ledger color will change when the insurance claim is closed. With the current version, you can change the color but it stays the same color whether or not the claim is closed. For example when our office used a previous software, when the claim is created, it will show as blue but once we enter the insurance payment, the color will change to gray, so it's easier for the user to keep in track of open/closed claims. I wish they have this feature on Dentrix as well!!

The color set up on ledger is universal and that really should be changed. My co worker and I have very different eye issues and only having one way to set up the colors presents issues for us
