Within the questionnaire wizard, you are allowed to select several questionnaires that can be completed by a new patient, as well as some separate ones for an existing patient. The existing patient has to register, we have to link the accounts. And then what we are given is not very good.
First of all, if the patient logs in they can see the entire family's business, so unless I have every patient sign a new HIPPA agreement, it is violating HIPPA.
Second, the ONLY reason I want to use this set up is to be able to have patients update their medical histories online BEFORE their appointment. But no, the forms only populate if the patient has an appointment THAT SAME DAY. What patient has time, on their way to the dentist to complete the forms.
Needless to say the whole questionnaire system for existing patients is basically useless the way that it is right now.
The forms should populate for patients scheduled at LEAST a week out.
The patient information should only be for each patient - NOT the entire family.
Having to separate out every adult child, and create multiple Non-patients as guarantors, is a complete and utter waste of time.
I really hope this gets improved, as it is extra disappointing considering I have to pay extra for the ability for patients to fill out questionnaires online. And it has very limited functionality.
