Yes Dentrix was designed by accountants without the patient or dentist in mind. every other program has a direct visual display that shows what surface is being watched. Hopefully we don't get carpal tunnel from clicking a mouse an extra 60 time per day. I doubt they will improve this feature anytime soon as Dentrix updates usually offer very limited improvement. They are very proud of their monthly support fee. I was told there is no way to run a report on unsigned charts as well.
It's great to have a tooth on a watch - but what are we watching? It saves tremendous amounts of time to have it charted rather than looking it up on the date the watch was placed then go to the notes...
