Patient name changes should not apply retroactively to old ledger entries. Names should be locked down to reflect name at time of procedure/entry. If Jane Doe got married in Jan 2016 then all her old ledger entries should still be Jane Doe not Jane Smith. It would also be nice to include former name in Family File and allow it to be searchable. Currently if I can't recall Jane's new name then there is no way to search her (yes by first name...but how many Jane's might you have!)

    THIS NAME CHANGE IS A BIG PROBLEM WITH OUR KODAK/CARESTREAM FILE. HAVE TO HIFON NAME WITH MAIDEN-MARRIED NAME TO ACCESS XRAYS
