Perio chart should calculate Bleeding Index

Dentrix gives you the total number of teeth and sites charted as bleeding but in order to notate and/or give the patient there overall bleeding index it has to be manually calculated. Having Dentrix do this an show it on the chart for reference and comparison purposes would be highly beneficial

    For clarification can you please provide example of what the overall bleeding index would be. if you have charted 10 teeth and 17 sites, what would the overall be. thank you for your provided information.

    10 teeth would have 60 total sites. If you have 17 sites that are bleeding
    you'd divide 17/60 for total of 0.28333. therefore the Bleeding Index
    percentage (BI%) = 28.3%
