If Office Manager allows you to add a new procedure code of up to 9 digits, and it does, then Ledger and all of it's reports should DISPLAY the entire code not truncate it to 5 digits. Ledger lets you expand the size of the "code" field but that doesn't matter, it still only displays 5 digits. WalkOut Report (only if you check the checkbox "Walkout/Doctors Statement") will it display the full code. All other Leger Print reports truncate to 5 digits.
We have setup some 6 digit procedure codes (D000000 to D000006) for special situations and have checked the "Do not bill to insurance" check box so it won't confuse eclaims, etc. After setting up the codes and using them for a while we discovered that Ledger for the most part will not display the full code.
