when we make a note (whether it is the doctor, staff, or hygiene) we always have to remember to "change Provider for selected note" It should default to the logged in user.

Thank you for the recommendation, we are always looking for ways to improve the product. we will consider this for a potential future release.
Not the Signature but for the Note itself, that's what needs to reflect the provider. You manually have to go in and change it, it automatically defaults to the Doctor. It's really inconvenient and does not make sense that it does not default to the provider on the procedure or the person making the note (if it is front office).
The default provider for a Clinical Note Signature can be assigned. This is for signatures of notes, not to be confused with adding a new Clinical Note.
From the menu bar in Chart, select Setup | Clinical Notes Default.
