Our practice is having a difficult time fully utilizing the appointment types: Open, Fixed, and ASAP. We have ASAP patients that want a specific day or time and we have ASAP patients that want anything. We have to open every appointment on the ASAP list just to see if the patient has a preference. It would save us a lot of time if we had the option to include an appointment notes column on the ASAP list or if we had two different types of ASAP lists.
The notes column seems like the most efficient way to figure out if we should even call a patient about a certain opening but it would also be generally helpful if we could customize and add our own appointment types so that we can generate lists that fit our needs.
