When I put that a deductible has been applied to a claim payment it is automatically applied to the lifetime deductible. I do not have it set in lifetime field under insurance to do this. This is a huge problem because there is not a lifetime deductible and it's staying there and not resetting. So new treatment plans are not estimating a deductible when it should.
Why is the lifetime deductible even an option. There are no lifetime deductibles in dental. Please fix this. All tx plans are saying patients have met their deductibles. It has not been set up this way. We are now having to check every patient to make sure it is correct. Causing major issues and slowing down our flow.
Thank you all for the suggestions! We would love to speak with you to gather some additional information, so we can fully understand the request. If you are able to speak with us, please send your contact information to ashley.watkins@henryschein.com
I have been on the phone with Dentrix regarding this very same issue. I've tried to explain that the majority of our plans are Calendar Year or Plan Year. The Lifetime Deductible Met column should not be populate with any figure for these plans. It should only be populated when we set up the insurance when IT IS a lifetime deductible plan. This is very confusing when trying to view insurance "at-a-glance". This used to never be an issue. Please fix.
I have also started a comment about this problem. deductibles should automatically go to annual deductible met when its first operative of the year (or benefit year). It auto goes to lifetime. if you can make it go to lifetime, you should be able to make it go to annual and have it reset at beginning of year. I understand to option to manually put in if patient goes to another DDS, but the majority of patients stay at same DDS. We should only have to manually put deductible met IF patient has been to another DDS. It should default to being met without manually putting it in when posting insurance payments
