For some reason, when I post a large payment that's supposed to be split amongst family members on a ledger, the payments are posted unevenly, still leaving one member with a balance, and another one with a credit. This used to work fine, you could split by family members and make it into a percentage, equal, fifo, etc. however this stopped working recently. For example, John and Jane Doe have a combined balance of $200, with John owing $150 and Jane owing $50. I post $200 onto John's ledger, split by family members and in equal payments (hoping $150 goes to John and $50 to Jane to bring them both back to $0), however John only gets $76.30 and Jane gets $123.70, leaving her with a credit of $73.70 and John a balance of $73.70. I try to go back into those payments and choose another option to split the original payment another way, but it will just further divvy up the $73.70 credit into smaller bits. This is so weird and my ledgers are a MESS. is there a way out of this?
