It would be of great use if appointment book has an alert or notification system that allows staff to be notified if a certain code(e.g. Nitrous code we used in the office) is already scheduled for the day. This would avoid duplication of procedure code posted on that day. Moreover, an icon or symbol on the appointments or appointment book that easily seen and identifiable in the appointment book(e.g. symbols like Health History, Lab Case, Eligibility, Notes) but much bigger size. Adding colors for procedure code linking to the appointment will be easier as well to identify if a procedure code is already scheduled for the day.
