Family File/View all family members next scheduled appt.'s from family file screen. You could rename the tabs at the lower half of the family file that says position, gender, patient and birthday (this is all at the top section) to "Next scheduled appt."(listing the next sched. appt. for each family member) This makes it easier to view all family members all at one time.

Add a field for maiden name

Patients don't always update insurance name change in a timely manner, but update in the office. If there was a field for maiden name claims and family file could be searched by this field, helping locate the patient more efficiently.
